Uniworld waives solo supplements on selected cruises
Boutique river cruise specialist Uniworld has waived solo supplement fees on some of its most popular European cruises for 2016.
The operator said the move was in response to a huge growth in demand for solo travel.
"Solo travel is a huge area of growth in the industry, and companies need to be more proactive in making their product solo-friendly, or risk missing out on a huge cross section of the market," said Kathryn Beadle, managing director UK.
"By offering ‘No Solo Supplements’ on a large tranche of departures across our most popular European river cruises, Uniworld is really embracing the solo traveller, and also making our luxury river cruises accessible to those who travel as a group, but prefer to enjoy their own space."
The 2016 itineraries eligible for ‘No Solo’ Supplements include an 8-day ‘Castles Along the Rhine’ cruise with nine departure dates, from £2,619, and 8-day ‘Enchanting Danube’ cruises on three departure dates, from £2,149.
