Unwrap a Globus European Holiday this Christmas
Steaming mulled wine, roasted chestnuts and Christmas markets are just some of the wonderful delights awaiting visitors travelling to Europe this winter with Globus.
The new Globus European Winter Vacations brochure features 36 itineraries departing between November 2007 and April 2008 including six classic Christmastime tours, indulgent river cruises with Avalon Waterways and add-on stays in London and Paris.
“Christmas in Europe is a magical experience with a winter wonderland around every corner and fewer queues and crowds at major attractions, so you can enjoy all the highlights at your own pace,” Globus National Marketing Manager Fiona Watson said.
Globus’ European winter tours are also great value with prices from just $1249* per person for a seven-day ‘Christmastime in Bavaria & Austria’ tour, or $1861* per person for a nine-day ‘Christmastime Cruise’ from Prague to Vienna.
“Travellers should get in early to secure their chance to wake up on Christmas morning in Vienna, Budapest or Prague – an incredible experience,” Ms Watson said.
The ‘Christmastime in Bavaria & Austria’ tour departs Munich and travels through the Bavarian Alps to Innsbruck and Salzburg in Austria, before heading to Vienna for the spectacular Christmas markets.
Meanwhile, the ‘Christmastime Cruise’ itinerary begins in Prague, which comes alive in winter with Christmas markets and mulled wine, then onto Nuremberg where passengers join their Avalon Waterways cruise for a scenic trip down the Danube calling at Regensburg in Germany, and Passau, Linz, Melk and Vienna in Austria.
“Globus began offering escorted tours from Switzerland almost 80 years ago. We’ve been on the doorstep of the most famous Christmas markets and festivals throughout Europe for decades, so we’ve become experts in delivering the ultimate European Christmas tour package,” Ms Watson said.
