UNWTO – New Sustainable Tourism Website Launched

Tuesday, 25 Aug, 2008 0

The UNWTO Department of Sustainable Development of Tourism has launched a the newly designed department website (currently in English). A number of changes have been made to make the site visually more appealing, while at the same time more improved functionality within the new simplified format.

Some of the most notable changes include a restructuring of activities into thematic headings that are now available from main “homepage” of the SDT Department; integrating the various “global” initiatives under a section; providing a new format for news and events and adding a photo gallery section, to name a few.

“With these changes” UNWTO says “our primary objective is to facilitate the accessibility of information related to the activities of the department and to sustainable tourism. As we continue to upgrade our website, we hope that you will take this opportunity to enjoy the new website and make full use of the resources it
provides.”
