Upscale Fiji resort offers guests private mini-submarine
A luxury all-inclusive resort in Fiji has a new amenity to keep guests engaged during a beach holiday – a personal mini-submarine.
Guests at Laucala Island, in the north-east of the Fiji can now explore the underwater reefs in a DeepFlight Super Falcon submersible.
The two-person submersible is one of only three of its kind in the world and offers a 45-minute underwater trip viewing the marine life through 360 degree observation domes.
The Black Rock inner reef area of Laucala is noted for abundant corals, turtles, barracuda and sharks.
“The waters surrounding Laucala Island are stunningly beautiful and we are delighted that our guests now have the opportunity to explore them in a different way,” said resort general manager Andrew Thomson.
Other all-inclusive activities available at the resort include a 18-hole championship golf course, a spa, sailing scuba diving and horse riding.
