US agents offered internet training
Agents in the US have been targeted for a training seminar aimed at increasing online sales.
The Professional Internet Travel Alliance (PITA) is holding an “Internet Secrets” seminar with discussions on how to drive consumer traffic to the agency website, effective email marketing techniques, and converting internet sales leads into customers. Speakers will include internet marketeers and agents that have successfully launched websites.
PITA president Chris Dikmen said: “While millions of dollars is being generated through agent-owned websites, nobody in the industry is providing ongoing training on internet marketing. By educating agents we can dramatically increase the amount of business coming throught the agency website”.
The seminar is being held in Dallas on Saturday 9 November. The cost per person is $299 for non-PITA agencies and $99 per person from a PITA agency.
