US Airways launches St Kitts route

US Airways is to start a weekly non-stop service from Philadelphia to St Kitts from next month.

The airline will be the only carrier offering a jet service to the island from the US.

US Airways will use an Airbus A319 aircraft, with 12 seats in first class and 108 economy seats. The service will operate on Saturdays. Prices start at $465 for tickets booked by November 15.

US citizens can buy seven-night packages through US Airways Vacations from $954 per person. Prices include taxes, service charges and transfers.
