US bans Russian flights
US President Joe Biden announced the he will ban Russian aircraft from US airspace. The US joins Canada, the UK, European Union and other countries closing off airspace over Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
The Federal Aviation Administration said the official notice banning Russian aircraft from the US becomes effective Wednesday, 2 March.
The ban includes scheduled and charter passenger flights, as well as cargo-only flights.
