US will maintain UK travel ban, says President Elect Joe Biden
The US will not lift its UK travel ban later this month, despite an order from outgoing President Donald Trump to ease travel restrictions.
The White House announced yesterday that the ban on arrivals would end on 26 January.
But US President Elect Joe Biden intends to maintain travel bans for the UK, much of the EU and Brazil, according to his spokesperson.
In a Tweet, Jen Psaki said now is not the time to ease travel restrictions.
