Utah ski resort most expensive in North America
A ski resort in Utah has been declared North America’s most expensive for lodging, according to a new travel survey.
The annual study of winter resort accommodation costs, conducted by website CheapHotels.org rates Deer Valley in Park City, Utah as the most expensive for a hotel room.
The average price for the most affordable room in Deer Valley was $395 per night during February 2014, it claims.
Another Utah resort Snowbird, came in second place, averaging $312 per night for the same period.
At the third-ranked resort, Colorado’s Beaver Creek, skiers can expect to shell out a minimum of $289 per night.
The survey, conducted between January 15-17, compared all major ski resorts in the US and Canada for hotels rated two stars or higher, for stays during February 2014.
The price comparison was carried out on hotel booking sites Expedia, Orbitz and Priceline.
The following list highlights the top 10 most expensive ski resorts in the survey along with the average price per night for a room.
