Value Place Hotels appoints new CEO
Low-cost extended-stay hotel brand Value Place has appointed hospitality industry veteran Bruce Haase as new CEO.
He will be based at Value Place’s Wichita corporate headquarters, and joins after 12 years at Choice Hotels International.
At Choice Hotels, he was executive vice president responsible for all operating functions, including loyalty, e-commerce, and franchise development and relations until 2012.
Choice Hotels includes brands such as Comfort Inn, Sleep Inn and Clarion.
Haase will look to "focus on building the Value Place brand and building the franchise."
"Value Place’s business could easily double over the next few years, and there’s not too many brands out there that has those types of opportunities," he said, adding that he hopes to develop it as a truly national brand.
Currently Value Place has 190 franchised and owned properties in 34 states, mainly in the Mid-West and South.
