Venus: where did she go?
A reward is being offered after one of the nine faux marble Venus statues at Kimpton’s Hotel Rouge in Washington, DC, was discovered missing.
“We’re still trying to figure out how someone pulled this off without anyone noticing,” said Sarah Crocker, spokeswoman for Kimpton’s Washington properties. She added:
“It’s (the statute or Venus) certainly not one of your more run-of-the-mill thefts (like robes from the room).” The statue was also secured with a metal rod that would have to be cut through.
The reward for information leading to the return of Venus is a weekend stay for two including in-room spa services and cocktails and dinner at Bar Rouge.
