Vietjet starts Vietnam flights to Melbourne
Melbourne Airport has welcomed its first budget Vietnam flights.
Low-cost carrier Vietjet recently touched down in Australia for the first time with the inaugural flight from Ho Chi Minh City.
The route also offers connections to India, Japan and South Korea.
The airline will initially operate three Vietnam flights each week, departing on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
“Victorians can’t get enough of visiting Vietnam, it has consistently been one of our top 10 international destinations,” said Melbourne Aviation Chief, Jim Parashos.
“Victoria is home to a large Vietnamese community.
The airline plans to increase to daily operations by December 2024.
