Viking Cruises to operate UK sailings
Viking Cruises is the latest line to offer cruises along the English coastline.
It is deploying new ship Viking Venus for three eight-day sailings from Portsmouth starting on 22 May.
The round trip England’s Scenic Shores itineraries are available to UK residents and more details will be unveiled soon.
Pre-registration is currently open for previous customers.
"We welcome the UK government’s support for the return of safe domestic cruises as an important component in the travel industry’s recovery," said Viking chairman Torstein Hagen
"We are in a position to restart operations quickly and to start sailing again in May because we have kept our ships crewed during warm lay-up throughout the past 12 months."
All guests and crew will receive daily saliva PCR tests.
A trio of Carnival Corp cruise brands – P&O Cruises, Princess Cruises and Cunard Line have also announced an intention to run cruises around the UK coast.
