Viking hikes pay for Australasian agents
Seatrade Insider reports that Teresia Fors, md Australia and New Zealand for Viking River Cruises, has announced commission incentives to coincide with the release of the company’s 2009 River Cruise Atlas with Australian pricing.
Fors said it is ‘the first time ever’ Viking River Cruises, which operates 22 deluxe vessels, has distributed a dedicated Australian brochure, although it has had product in the Australian and New Zealand markets for 12 years.
The 144-page brochure covers voyages throughout Europe, Russia and China, as well as pre- and post-cruise packages.
Fors said Australian and New Zealand travel agents will receive a bonus commission of A$150 for every stateroom they book from now until December 31 for eight-day voyages. The bonus commission for booking a stateroom on a 10-day or longer itinerary is A$250.
