Police were called to Six Flags Great America after an argument quickly escalated with two groups of teens fighting.
Initially unable to break up the brawl, they had to call for back up from multiple nearby law enforcement agencies including K9 units.
Four police officers were injured with one needing treatment in hospital.
Six teens were arrested ‘for battering other patrons and police personnel.’
All are aged between 14 and 18.
Three of those arrested were also injured, the Gurnee Police Department said.
