Virgin Holidays unveils 100th store
Virgin Holidays has opened its 100th retail store in the Maidenhead branch of Sainsbury’s.
The tour operator has a flagship store on High Street Kensington and concessions in Debenhams, House of Fraser, Tesco, Sainsbury’s nationwide.
The grand opening in Maidenhead will take place this Saturday (August 18).
To celebrate, Virgin is offering a £100 booking discount off all holidays and cruises exclusive to the Maidenhead store until Monday 20 August.
As it unveiled the new shop, Virgin revealed the findings of a survey that shows Brits will still enjoy an average of two holidays every year despite the tough economic climate.
The study of 2,000 found the average Brit will jet off on 114 exotic holidays between the ages of 18-75.
It found the average adult will on two foreign jaunts a year.
