Virgin Hotels checking in to New Orleans

Saturday, 25 Jan, 2017 0
Virgin Hotels has announced plans for a new hotel in New Orleans.

A site has been secured in the Warehouse District and will break ground in April 2017.

The hotel is slated to open two years later in early 2019.

The new-build hotel will have 225 ‘chambers,’ meeting space, a gym and rooftop pool and lounge.

"New Orleans is an incredibly special city and one Virgin Hotels has had an eye on from the beginning. We’re excited to bring the Virgin experience to the Big Easy because it’s a perfect fit in terms of our values and our emphasis on creating unique and immersive experiences for our guests," said Raul Leal, CEO of Virgin Hotels.

This is the second Virgin hotel project being developed by Texas-based Gatehouse Capital.

The company made its debut with the opening of Virgin Chicago and has projects in development in Nashville, Dallas, Palm Springs, New York and Silicon Valley.
