Virgin joins campaign to bring Aussies to Britain
Virgin Atlantic has joined with VisitBritain and London & Partners in a campaign to entice more Australians to visit Britain.
It hopes the campaign will help build momentum following strong numbers from Australia over the last five years with spend levels up 52%, thanks mainly to the strength of the Australian dollar against the pound.
The co-branded marketing campaign is entitled ‘Flying in the face of ordinary to Britain’.
As part of the push, Virgin is offering a special fare to London with a bonus trip to Manchester, Edinburgh or Aberdeen from AU$1799 per person, including taxes. Ԭ
The bespoke multi-platform, integrated marketing campaign will feature online marketing, primarily with Yahoo! 7, BBC.com and Ninemsn Gourmet Traveller, and with travel trade media.
