Visitors find Iceland unconventional
An Iceland proponent argues there are “two words that can be joined with Iceland without any questions or doubts.”
“They are refreshing and unconventional,” writes Asberg Jonsson, manager of Iceland Visitor, a company specializing in packaged vacations.
He says Iceland has almost magical qualities with “spouting geysers, active volcanoes, plummeting waterfalls, huge mountains, vast lava grounds and some very beautiful lakes full of superstitious stories.
The result: some spectacular and supernatural sights not seen anywhere else on earth.
Outdoor sports include snowmobiling, horse riding, cave exploration, hiking, swimming, skiing, river rafting, and kayaking, among others.
In addition to all that, its capital city of its highly walkable city of Reykjavik has “legendary nightlife.”
Iceland is a small island situated in the North Atlantic Sea. It’s recorded as the westernmost country of the European continent. It touches the Arctic Circle and is accessible only by air and water.
The country attracts tourists year-round.
By air, its international airport serves 20 cities in the US and Europe with 115 international flights a week.
