VIVA Cruises unveils its most popular 2026 river sailings across Europe

Tuesday, 20 Jan, 2026 0

VIVA Cruises offers a modern river cruising experience designed to showcase Europe through authentic perspectives, attentive service and flexible travel options. With decades of experience navigating Europe’s major waterways—including the Danube, Rhine, Rhône, Seine and more—the company focuses on enriching journeys that connect guests with both historic towns and vibrant capitals.

In 2026, VIVA Cruises will expand its portfolio with VIVA BOUTIQUE, a new line of elegant boutique ships featuring mostly suites, fewer guests and an elevated culinary concept. The first ship, VIVA BEYOND, will debut in spring 2026 with sailings from Paris, followed by VIVA UNIQUE in spring 2027, departing from Venice.

As travelers turn their attention to planning 2026 vacations, European river cruise specialist VIVA Cruises is spotlighting five of its most in-demand itineraries for the year ahead. Designed for guests seeking wellness, cultural discovery and LGBTQ+-friendly travel, the sailings pair all-inclusive premium service with curated experiences along some of Europe’s most celebrated rivers.

Every VIVA voyage features the line’s signature all-inclusive concept, covering gourmet full-board dining, unlimited hot and cold beverages including alcohol, a stocked minibar, complimentary Wi-Fi, gratuities and a refined in-trip High Tea. The approach allows guests to enjoy a seamless cruise experience without hidden costs.

River Revitalization on VIVA ONE

Available throughout the year, VIVA Cruises’ four-night River Revitalization sailing is tailored for travelers seeking a restorative break. Departing from Frankfurt, the Rhine itinerary calls at Speyer, Strasbourg and Mainz, blending cultural highlights with a strong onboard wellness focus. Guests can explore Speyer’s Imperial Cathedral, wander Strasbourg’s Petite France district and admire Mainz’s baroque architecture. On board, the program includes daily Qi Gong sessions, health talks, a 30-minute massage per guest and a fitness area with panoramic views. Wellness-focused menus and fine wines round out the experience. Departures are running through March 22.

Seine Discovery on VIVA BEYOND

From May 10–17, 2026, VIVA BEYOND will embark on its maiden voyage as the first ship in the new VIVA BOUTIQUE line. The eight-day Seine itinerary begins and ends in Paris, tracing a scenic route through Normandy to Le Havre. Rolling hills, picturesque villages and the dramatic alabaster coast set the tone for a journey inspired by Impressionist landscapes. The inaugural sailing includes two complimentary Impressionism-themed excursions, as well as visits to landmarks such as Monet’s gardens in Giverny. On board, guests will find elegant boutique cabins, three restaurants and a dedicated wellness area.

Treasures of the Douro on Porto Mirante

This seven-night summer itinerary explores Portugal’s Douro Valley, beginning and ending in Porto. The voyage passes terraced vineyards and riverside villages, with stops in Leverinho, Pocinho, Vega Terrón, Pinhão and Régua. Highlights include wine tastings at renowned estates, a visit to Mateus Palace and Gardens, and immersive Portuguese culinary experiences. Guests can relax in contemporary surroundings, dine on gourmet menus paired with regional wines and enjoy sweeping views from the sundeck. Sailings run from March through November 2026.

LGBTQ+ & Friends Pride Cruise on VIVA ONE

From July 29 to August 5, VIVA Cruises will host its seven-night World Pride Cruise, sailing from Düsseldorf to Rotterdam, Antwerp and Nijmegen, with a three-night stay in Amsterdam during World Pride celebrations. The itinerary includes access to the iconic Canal Parade, themed entertainment, DJ parties and exclusive Pride events, all supported by VIVA’s all-inclusive service. The cruise combines festive energy with curated excursions and onboard comfort.

Course North to Copenhagen on VIVA RUBY

VIVA RUBY’s nine-night summer journey travels from Berlin northward through Oranienburg, Eberswalde and the port city of Stettin, continuing past Wolin and Swinemünde to Stralsund. From there, guests cross by ferry to Copenhagen for a two-night stay. A Copenhagen Card is included, offering access to highlights such as Nyhavn, Amalienborg Palace and Tivoli Gardens. The itinerary blends cultural exploration, coastal scenery and relaxed luxury. Sailings are available in July and August 2026.
