VLM expands business class offering
Business class has been introduced by VLM on flights between London City Airport and Brussels
It follows the introduction of a separate premium service on the airline’s routes to Amsterdam and Luxembourg last year.
The airline is introducing a sixth frequency to Amsterdam each weekday from March 31, and offers three flights on weekdays to Luxembourg.
Business class passengers have dedicated seating at the front of the aircraft, complimentary newspapers and a welcome drink of orange juice on morning flights, and champagne on flights from lunchtime onwards. An enhanced meal including a main course, dessert and bread rolls or pastries is also served along with complimentary alcoholic drinks.
The airline, which runs six flights a day to the Belgian capital, offers business class lounge access at Brussels Airport, along with increased hand and hold luggage allowances of 15kgs and 30kgs respectively. Business tickets are fully flexible, and bookings can both be changed and cancelled with a refund.
VLM’s UK regional manager David Nye said: “VLM Airlines has always offered all of its passengers a complimentary service of light meals and beverages. However, with around 80% of our Brussels passengers travelling for business purposes, we felt it was appropriate to introduce a Business Class service on this route.”
