Volcano causes renewed concern
Authorities have restricted access to the famous Cotopaxi volcano in Ecuador following two explosions.
There has been an unusually high level of seismic activity and sulphur dioxide emissions from the volcano south of the capital Quito since mid-April.
On Friday there were two explosions followed by ash flow towards the north.
Ash has reached the south of Quito, including Valle de Los Chillos. The area is popular with tourists and amateur mountaineers.
The British Foreign Office said: "The authorities from Cotopaxi National Park have restricted access to the volcano until further notice.
"You should take extra care if you’re travelling near to the affected areas, and monitor the news for updates or alerts."
