Voyager to Bermuda
Royal Caribbean International is to operate its first mega Voyager class ship to Bermuda next summer.
The line’s 3,114-passenger Voyager of the Seas will run five-night cruises every other Sunday from Cape Liberty Cruise Port in Bayonne, New Jersey, between May and November 2005.
The Voyager of the Seas itineraries will complement sailings to Bermuda by the line’s 1,950-passenger Grandeur of the Seas from Baltimore.
Both ships will dock overnight at King’s Wharf in Bermuda’s Royal Naval Dockyard. High-speed ferries will be available to take passengers to points of interest throughout Bermuda.
Introduced in 1999, Voyager of the Seas was the world’s largest cruise ship featuring a rock climbing wall and ice skating rink. The Voyager class ships have since been eclipsed by Cunard’s larger Queen Mary 2 which entered service this year.
