Voyages of Discovery discounts by 50%

Voyages of Discovery has deepened its early booking discounts for summer 2009 cruises from Harwich to at least 50%.

The destination-led cruise specialist also pledged to honour existing summer 2009 bookings with the savings.

Prices now start at £599 per person for an eight-day Norwegian Fjords voyage departing Harwich on May 24, down from the brochure early booking price of £899.

Fly-cruises to the Mediterranean now start at £1,099, down from £1,299 for ten days.

Managing director David Yellow said: “Extending these excellent savings to existing bookings is certainly not common practice amid tour operators in today’s marketplace.

“We hope it shows our ongoing commitment to our loyal customers who have already confirmed their holiday plans for next year.

“We are conscious that, given the current economic climate, many of our clients may be finding it more difficult to justify expenditure on a much needed break and it is on this basis that we have decided to restructure the pricing of our summer 2009 programme.

“These unprecedented fares are limited in availability and are unlikely to be repeated.”

From May to late August next year, all departures from the UK will sail from Harwich, with destinations ranging from Scandinavia to Russia, including the Baltic and Northern Waters.
