Vueling creates alliances role
Vueling has appointed Nick Ashton in the newly-created role of head of alliances.
He joins from Virgin Australia, where he worked for over three years managing the company~’s alliances partnerships in the EMEA region.
Before that he worked for British Airways and Qatar Airway.
Part of the airline’s improvement programme, called Vueling Next, he will have a remit to maximise existing relationships and develop the company’s alliances strategy.
He will be part of the Network Planning and Alliances Area, reporting directly to Manuel Ambriz, chief network and alliances officer.
Vueling has codeshare agreements with its IAG partners Iberia and British Airways and has also reached interline agreements with Qatar Airways and American Airlines.
