Vueling launches winter flight schedule
IAG owned airline Vueling has opened its winter flight schedule with 10 new routes.
Overall, it will operate 213 routes to 89 destinations across 27 countries this winter.
Of these, 194 routes have their origin or destination in Spain.
Vueling is launching new Egypt connections from Barcelona.
It will fly to Luxor and Sharm El-Sheikh, as well as Rovaniemi, Finland in addition to flights between Amman and Paris-Orly.
Vueling is the second largest overseas airline operating routes connecting the UK with Spain.
It offers 11 connections from London-Gatwick.
The airline has multiple UK connections to Spain, France and Italy – with flights operating from five UK airports.
As well as Gatwick it flies five routes from Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Manchester.
The company is offering popular winter flight routes to sunshine destinations including London-Gatwick to Gran Canaria up to three times a week.
UK travellers can also enjoy Spanish city break holidays throughout winter with routes including Gatwick to Málaga up to 16 times per week, and to Seville up to five times a week.
Carolyn Prowse, Vueling’s commercial director: “We continue to consolidate our leadership position in Spain and reinforce our commitment through London-Gatwick and Paris-Orly.”
In Barcelona, where Vueling concentrates nearly 60% of its operations, it will operate 86 routes this winter, with more than 70% of them to international destinations.
There will be weekly Saturday flights to Luxor and Sharm El-Sheikh in Egypt and special routes for the Christmas Lapland holidays to Rovaniemi in Finland.
Vueling is also extending its connections from Bilbao to Brussels, Hamburg, Marrakech and Zurich during the winter season.
