Watch those $100 bills
If you’re going to Europe, you might want to leave behind your USD$100 bills.
Why?
A new version coming out early next year will not be as easy to change. They’ll have a new blue security ribbon, which has images of bells that move, change and then disappear as the note is tilted one way or another.
What’s that got to do with travel?
As many as two-thirds of the $100 bills bearing Benjamin Franklin’s image circulate outside the US, often used by tourists.
So far, at least, the $5, $10, $20 and $50 bills are going to remain the same. As is the lowly $1 note.
