Webjet announces record June quarter sales
Webjet yesterday announced a further record quarter to 30 June 2006 of total transaction values of $49.3 million compared with $23.7 million for the same quarter last year, an increase of 108%.
Commenting Webjet Managing Director, David Clarke, said: “Webjet TTV for the 12 months to June 30 totalled $172.3 million compared with $77.5 last year, which effectively means we have added nearly $100 million of TTV for the year.
Our growth rate has continued unabated for the whole year and demonstrates our increasing market footprint, in a highly competitive environment where, as measured by IATA BSP figures, the overall market was basically flat.
Webjet’s marketing programme for July to December 2006 will be substantially more aggressive.”
