Website launches to help skiers and snowboarders find the right instructor
Maison Sport has launched an online service for skiers and snowboarders to find their perfect instructor.
It currently operates in ski resorts across France and plans to expand to other European destinations soon.
The service helps holidaymakers compare qualified and professional independent instructors before booking their lesson.
The service allows them to search the profiles of the independent instructors registered in the resort they are visiting.
Customers can search by skill set, experience, languages spoken or hourly lesson cost to find their perfect match.
The system is continually updated showing the live availability of each instructor.
Maison Sport claims it can save customers 15% on their lesson costs.
Over 300 instructors have already registered in more than 50 resorts across France.
Nick Robinson, co-founder of Maison Sport, explains more: "Consumers are used to having information and choice at the click of a button but booking a ski or snowboard instructor hasn’t followed this trend up until now.
"Whilst some ski and snowboard schools offer online booking, you generally can’t choose your instructor and it is often a time consuming and impersonal process.
"Having the right instructor can make a skiing or snowboarding holiday, so we essentially provide customers the opportunity to choose their own personal instructor for as much or as little of their holiday as they wish."
Maison Sport encourages customers to leave a review of their instructor to help other skiers.
