Well-known industry figure dies, aged 87

Former Inghams sales manager Roy Dawson has died at the age of 87.

Roy spent all his working life in the travel trade, starting his career in the early 1950s as a steward with BOAC.

He was instrumental whilst working for ski specialist Erna Low in pioneering winter sports holidays to the Swiss and Austrian Alps, and later became sales manager for Inghams.

He also worked for British Eagle, Philippine Airlines and Aer Lingus before ending his career at Inghams. After retiring, he moved to Cornwall.

It is hoped there will be a memorial service in Wimbledon at the end of this month, for further information please contact his nephew Alan Berry on [email protected]
