Wharf Hotels appoints new sales and marketing VP
Wharf Hotels has appointed experienced industry executive Sandy Russell to lead the group’s corporate sales and marketing efforts.
Russell joins as vice president, sales and marketing and will spearhead global sales and marketing as well as optimising revenue and distribution initiatives.
Russell brings more than two decades of expertise with previous leadership roles including vice president of commercial operations in Asia Pacific at Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group.
"We welcome Sandy as the newest addition to our Executive Committee at Wharf Hotels, a professional hotel marketer who is passionate in defining and achieving ambitious business goals. With a quest to drive innovation, we are confident that Sandy will lead our Sales and Marketing team to establish even stronger profitable benchmarks for Niccolo and Marco Polo Hotels," said Dr Jennifer Cronin, President, Wharf Hotels.
She also serves on the board of the Canadian National Institute for the Blind and is a founding member of ‘Be The Change’ foundation.
The group currently operates 16 owned or managed hotels under Niccolo or Marco Polo Hotels in Hong Kong, China and the Philippines.
