What’s business traveler innovation of the decade?
When the Business Travel & Meetings Show asked 2,400 travelers what they consider the “business travel innovation of the decade, answers include smart phones and ipods and even a sardonic suggestion for the “by-the-droplet gastro-interlogical security screening device.”
And how about Wi-Fi, airline flat beds or notebooks?
Personal entertainment systems during long-haul flights also were nominees. “Although they first appeared in the 90s, they only became common, especially in economy, during the past decade,” one blogger commented.
Suggested another writer:
“Hands down: rental car GPS systems.”
All good candidates, said The Economist, but the site reported that the winner was online check in.
“Those 2,400 travelers seem to have got it about right,” concluded the magazine.
