Wickham quits London Tourist Board
Teresa Wickham, chairman of London Tourist Board and Convention Bureau (LTB), has announced that she is to leave the organisation.
The London Tourist Board has said it will appoint a new chairman following appropriate consultation. Paul Hopper will continue to lead the organisation on behalf of the Board.
Commenting on her departure, Mrs Wickham said: “It has been an extraordinary time to work in tourism. I believe my skills in solving problems and driving forward change have been crucial in guiding LTB through an unprecedented set of crises, gained profile for the industry politically and helped achieve a number of recovery initiatives. I feel that this is an appropriate time to stand down as chairman and I wish LTB well in facing the challenges ahead.”
Paul Hopper, managing director of LTB, said: “LTB, together with its members and stakeholders, is grateful for Teresa’s work to further the case for the development of tourism in London, during what has been an extraordinarily challenging time. We shall miss her energy and enthusiasm and wish her continued success with her other business interests.”
