Windy City most likely place to lose your laptop
If you have ever wondered what is the most dangerous city for losing your laptop to thieves, the answer is not blowing in the wind: the Windy City of Chicago, according to a new report from Absolute software.
Chicago accounted for 12.5% of the thefts in the top 20 cities. Next was Houston, with 11.9%, followed by Detroit with 11.3%. Internationally, London was tops, followed by Sonder Felding, Denmark and Paris.)
Peak time for theft of corporate-owned laptop is in June and July, which are major travel months.
Consumer-owned laptops are most likely to be stolen at back-to-school time and just before Christmas—also the peak time for buying.
