Wirecard partners with the Australian Federation of Travel Agents
Digital payments processor Wirecard has signed an agreement with the Australian Federation of Travel Agents.
Wirecard becomes the newest payment partner of AFTA’s chargeback scheme (ACS).
Wirecard is contracted to collect ACS contributions on behalf of the 1,400 participating agency members.
"Our members can access the products and services offered by Wirecard as well as being protected by ACS. Wirecard has extensive travel pedigree and our members will be able to offer new and innovative avenue on how to accept payment from their clients," said Jayson Westbury CEO at AFTA.
Wirecard is integrated via global distribution systems including Amadeus and Sabre as an Acquirer for agents which choose to work with Wirecard.
"Given our significant experience and footprint in the global travel market, partnering with AFTA marks a natural extension for us in the Australian travel industry," said Daniel Vukovac, general manager of Wirecard Australia.
