Wizz Air gives free tickets to passengers on Luton flight
Wizz Air has given a flight-load of passengers a free flight to celebrate reaching its 100 millionth passenger milestone.
The 100 millionth passenger travelled on Wizz’s London-Luton to Warsaw route, but instead of rewarding just that passenger, the airline surprised all those on board with the offer of a free flight.
It has also celebrated the milestone by slashing 20% off all fares on all routes on Wizz Discount Club bookings today (Tuesday) and tomorrow.
CEO Jozsef Varadi said: "We operated our first flight in 2004 between Poland and the UK, and today, 11 years later, we celebrate a total of 100 million passengers carried from over 110 airports across 38 countries."
