World’s best ski resort revealed

Val Thorens in France has been named the World’s Best Ski Resort at the 2016 World Ski Awards.

W Verbier was named the Best Ski Hotel and the purpose-built Swiss resort of LAAX took the title of Best Freestyle Resort.

The fourth annual awards were held in Kitzbuhel this week at the A-Rosa hotel.

The awards were voted for by leading ski tourism professionals and skiers from around the world.

Ski Dubai was given the title of World’s Best Indoor Ski Resort, while Sunweb walked away with the trophy for the World’s Best Ski Tour Operator while West Midlands-based Ski-Lifts was named top transfer operator for the second year running.
