World’s largest cruise ship leaves dry dock
Royal Caribbean International’s Freedom of the Seas – the largest cruise ship in the world – has left dry dock.
The 3,634-passenger vessel is due to enter service offering seven-night Caribbean sailings from Miami next May following final completion of construction work in Finland.
The 158,000-ton ship has 1,817 cabins including six different categories for families and a 427-foot long ‘Royal Promenade’ offering shops, dining and entertainment. On deck, the ship will feature three large pool areas including a water park.
Freedom of the Seas is the first in a new class of cruise ship developed by the US line.
