‘Wrong door’ incident sparks security alert at Stansted
An investigation is underway at Stansted airport after passengers on a Ryanair flight entered the terminal using the wrong door.
The passengers, who landed shortly after 09:00 on Sunday morning on a flight from Lisbon, went into the airport via an exit door which should have been closed.
Ryanair insisted its staff had directed passengers to the assigned gate. Speaking to the Telegraph, a spokesman said: "The crew of this flight correctly directed disembarking customers to the assigned gate. However, customers entered the airport through a door which had been left open in error."
Hundreds of passengers had to be re-checked by security, said the report, which caused delays.
