Wyndham Hotel Group has unveiled its first Days Inn branded hotel in Thailand with the opening of the 122-room Days Inn Patong Beach Phuket.

The property is managed by long term partner KosMopolitan Hospitality, and is a conversion from the former Aloha Villa Phuket.

Situated a short walk from vibrant Patong Beach, the hotel features two restaurants, a rooftop pool and an Internet centre.

"Phuket is a major beach resort in Thailand and attracts millions of visitors annually. This is a timely opportunity for us to expand our offerings, with the country hitting a ground-breaking record of 29.99 million tourist arrivals in 2015," said Barry Robinson, president and managing director of Wyndham Hotel Group for South East Asia and Pacific Rim.

"The KosMopolitan group is a key partner in our joint efforts to expand our portfolio of hotels in emerging markets throughout South East Asia,"

The economy to upper-midscale Days Inn brand has a global presence with nearly 1,800 locations generally featuring free Wi-Fi, meeting rooms, banquet facilities, fitness centres and more.

Glenn de Souza, CEO of Kosmopolitan Hospitality said, "Days Inn is an esteemed brand with a wonderful concept that will appeal to budget conscious travellers with its great value."
