Wyndham Hotels appoints new Southeast Asia chief
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has named a new regional head.
Joon Aun Ooi is appointed to president and managing director for Southeast Asia and Pacific Rim, based at Wyndham’s new regional HQ in Singapore.
He will lead development and growth strategy of the Wyndham Hotels & Resorts brand portfolio in the region with a special focus on loyalty, distribution, sales and marketing.
He replaces Barry Robinson who is now president and MD of Wyndham Vacation Clubs, and reports to Wyndham Hotels COO Bob Loewen.
Joon was recently vice president, openings and operations at Wyndham Hotel Group Greater China and previously held China based strategy leaderships positions at IHG and Hilton.
