Wyndham’s La Quinta brand planning eight hotels in Dominican Republic
Wyndham’s La Quinta brand will expand across the Dominican Republic with plans announced for eight new hotels.
It is teaming up with developer Profusion Group for a $100 million project to introduce hotels in four tourist areas – Punta Cana, La Romana, Boca Chica and the Santo Domingo area.
The hotels will launch over five years with the first phase of four properties by 2021.
Wyndham Hotels and Resorts acquired the La Quinta portfolio for $2 billion last year.
Wyndham has five resorts in the Dominican Republic under the Viva Wyndham brand, and has plans to open several more resorts across the Caribbean including Nevis and Barbados.
