Wynn and Encore deliver supreme quality, design and amenities

Starting from the newest property, Wynn, a beautiful exact duplicate of a building, but from the outside only.  Inside, Encore delights the senses from every aspect imagineable.  And imagination is what you’ll get, no charge.

Walking into the main lobby and check-in area from the garage, you immediately get a sense of excitement, from the fiery red chandeliers to spacious room after room of food and beverage options and comfortable seating for table and slots betting.

We checked in and were surprised to find so many comforts included in the room design.  My favorite was auto open/close of the draperies.  Love to get up in the morning and get an instant weather report.  The bathroom was spacious and included a large tub for spa bathing.  Very large flat screens were on a turntable for easy viewing in the living room or bedroom.  Designers used glorious colors and furnishings.

Food and beverage options abound, from fancy bars to one of the highest quality buffets on the Strip.  I’ve tried many and feel this ones takes the ‘best quality’ award.  It has a large selection to choose from, but not too many as several buffets prefer to serve a huge array of food.  I prefer high quality and carefully selected items. When you pick up an Eggs Benedict plate, there are only 4-5 available, as they refresh constantly to guarantee that high quality.

Encore’s Steakhouse touts a good selection of wines and delectable seafood starters along with the best cuts of steak available prepared with a variety of spice options.  We opted on the 3 tier seafood dish which we shared (@ $65 it was plenty and the shrimp & lobster was divine) (A little lobster and prawns anyone?).  The New York grill cuts ‘house special spice’ was perfect as was the Filet Mignon (we shared).  After a dessert chocolate soufflé, we were ready to take on the tables.

But not before relaxing in the LeReve Theatre  to watch an amazing water show, all from a VIP seat complete with champagne, chocolate covered strawberries and truffles.  A truly amazing show and one that should not be missed if you have a choice.  The round theatre afforded a great view from wherever you sat.  I particularly loved the music which was new from the last time I was there a year ago.

After a few days of walking the conference floor, a day at the new Encore Spa was all the soul needed.  From the moment you walk into the most spacious Welcome Area I’ve ever seen, (Enter into a heavenly experience!) you are immediately aware that this is going to be a fabulous experience.  If you regularly visit a Spa, you usually know what to expect.  But here, you can multiply many times your regular expectations.

Design and décor, comfort and relaxation, highly qualified masseurs and beauty operators abound – Nice view too!).  The fitness center touts a health bar and obviously, the newest and best workout equipment.  If you go for a manicure or haircut, not only are the chairs plush, so is the view!  A beautiful picture window shows off the Strip and all the lovely new buildings and shopping centers.

We left fully satisfied of the whole experience; our bodies and minds were relaxed and revived. As we drove off down I-15, we couldn’t resist stopping at the new  M Hotel for lunch.  The buffet made my husband jump for joy, (a huge array of menu items; locals love it), but I remained more a Wynn buffet advocate myself.  Se la vie!
