One of the big changes in the travel industry has been the growing prevalence of long haul family travel from Australia, with not too long ago, Disneyland as far as families would go from on a family trip in large numbers from Australia.

While medium and short haul destinations still get the lions share of the Australian family travel market, Greece and Mediterranean Travel Centre is attracting increasing interest in family travel to Greece and Egypt especially and to a lesser extent Turkey and Israel.

GMTC’s Egyptian Family Adventure is the company’s popular family package in Egypt which enables families to see all the highlights of Egypt which excite parents and kids alike, changes mode of transport from car, to Nile Cruise to overnight train.

This package includes significant discounts for accompanying children.

In Egypt, Israel and Jordan, private tour options work very well for families travelling together as a family unit.

In Greece, a growing number of hotels, especially in Athens are offering two bedroom options which gives the family room, kids comfort and the parents some privacy.

Many hotels in Med destinations offer adjoining liked rooms in hotels.  Greek Island hopping programs are becoming as appealing to family travelers as they are to couples.

With then end of the year and long school holidays approaching many Australia’s are considering their family travel options.
