Your commission structure will stay, Silversea tells agents
Silversea Cruises has joined other cruise lines by pledging that it will not be changing its agents commission structure.
It made the announcement following the decision by Complete Cruise Solution to change its trade payment scheme, a move that has been criticised by many agents.
Silversea said at a time when agents are already struggling in a difficult economic period, it is offering an additional £100 bonus commission on bookings made by 31 March for all voyages departing before 30 June 2011.
Trudy Redfern, Silversea’s managing director for UK, Ireland and Middle East commented: “We believe that Silversea’s relationship with the trade is the critical factor in current and future growth.
“We firmly believe in a generous commission structure, based on an ultra-luxury all-inclusive offering, which rewards agents on current business and future growth. And to help agents tap into the buoyant lates market, bookings made before 31 March on selected departures will earn a further £100.”
Other cruise lines, including Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, MSC Cruises and Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Azamara Club, have already voiced their continued commitment to the travel trade following the CCS announcement.
