Zurich-Seoul, first Swiss route to Asia to offer A350 with “Swiss Senses” cabin
Switzerland national carrier Swiss is now assigning its new Airbus A350s to its first Asian long-haul mission, following initial deployments on European short- and medium-haul routes and its intercontinental debut on the Zurich–Boston service. Since March 29, the next-generation twinjets operates flights between Zurich and Seoul, introducing the all-new “SWISS Senses” cabin concept to the Asian market.
Swiss International Air Lines launched Airbus A350 service on its Zurich–Seoul route at the start of the 2026 summer schedule on March 29. Passengers traveling to and from Asia are consequently able to experience the airline’s latest “Swiss Senses” inflight product.
The new Swiss Senses cabin combines modern design with enhanced privacy and greater overall comfort. A calm onboard atmosphere is supported by advanced, human-centric lighting designed to help reduce jet lag. The experience also includes upgraded service elements, with refined meal options and thoughtful touches that highlight Swiss hospitality, from the welcome drink through to arrival the next morning.
After Boston, Seoul becomes the second long-haul destination in Swiss’s upcoming summer schedule to be served by the Airbus A350. It has not yet been confirmed whether the Zurich–Seoul flights will be operated by the specially liveried “Wanderlust” aircraft (HB-IFA) or the standard Swiss-liveried HB-IFB.
Swiss was until the start of the summer timetable operating the Zurich–Seoul route with Airbus A340 aircraft. Seoul has been part of the airline’s network since the summer 2024 schedule. With the Airbus A350, flight time from Zurich will be approximately 11 hours and 10 minutes—around 50 minutes shorter than before, thanks to the aircraft’s lighter construction, more powerful engines, and higher cruising altitude.
Swiss operates three weekly flights between Zurich and Seoul, departing on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Travelers looking to get inspired before heading east can explore features on local culture, cuisine, and city life in Swiss Magazine, available online or in a special print edition exclusively onboard the Airbus A350 fleet.
