  Greece dropping passenger locator form - News & announcements

  Greece’s version of the passenger locator form will be scrapped for vaccinated international travellers. From March 15 travellers are no longer required to fill in the form, Tourism Minister Vassilis Kikilias announced. Currently, the form has to be filled in online at least 48 hours before arrival. It includes information on the traveller’s recent travel history as well as the address of their stay in Greece. The PLF was introduced in mid-2020 to help streamline contact tracing.

  Italy relaxes entry restrictions - News & announcements

  Italy is easing entry restrictions for arrivals from all non-European countries. Starting from March 1, only a vaccination certificate, recovery certificate or negative test result is required for entry, talian Health Minister Roberto Speranza said. It means arrivals from non-EU countries including the UK will no longer have to show both proof of vaccination and a negative test result. Additionally, it scraps quarantine for unvaccinated travellers. The announcement came just after the EU Council recommended member states “lift the temporary restrictions on non-essential travel to the EU for people vaccinated with an EU or WHO approved vaccine.’ The Italian health ministry said it will review other inbound travel restrictions by March 15.

  Greece lifts test entry requirement for fully jabbed arrivals - News & announcements

  Greece has updated entry protocols, allowing inbound fully vaccinated travellers to enter without having to provide a negative pre-departure test. It is a timely boost ahead of the half-term holiday. The Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority (HCAA) released the updated aviation directive which allows the test exemption and vaccine certificates remain valid for up to 270 days after the second dose.   Read full story

  Italy requires all workers use Covid vaccine passport - News & announcements

  The Italian government passed a new law making it compulsory for workers in both public and private sectors to use the Covid-19 green pass. It is mandatory from October 15 and effective until the end of the year. Only pensioners and unemployed citizens are exempt from carrying the green pass, said Health Minister Roberto Speranza . All employees must be able to prove that they have been vaccinated, are recovering from the virus, or have recently tested negative, he said.   Read full story

  Italy tightens entry rules for Americans - News & announcements

  Italy became the first EU country to implement stricter requirements for Americans since the US was removed from the EU's safe list. Americans must present a negative Covid test taken within three days of their arrival in Italy regardless of vaccination status. Unvaccinated travelers have to quarantine for five days after they arrive and will then be tested a second time. All arrivals must fill out a passenger locator form.
