The Napa Valley Wine Train has launched a new bespoke food and wine experience. ‘Tasting on the Rails’ combines a seven-course gourmet menu paired with seven wines from six of Napa Valley's vineyards. Five of these wines hail from the five AVA's that the train route passes through. "This exciting excursion is an experience only the Wine Train can offer," said Nathan Davis, Napa Valley Wine Train GM. "We've never done anything like this before that so well compliments the best food and wine." The Tasting on the Rails experience launches May 3, 2023. Tickets start at $395 and include a three-hour journey aboard the 1915 Pullman Lounge car with an observation platform. It includes seven courses with wines. Cuisine is prepared on the train by Chef Cuadra and the onboard culinary team. The Napa Valley Wine Train is one of the few active historic passenger railroads in the United States.
