  Cunard is offering Alaska cruise guests a Rocky Mountaineer train experience. Guests can extend their Alaska voyage with a three-night post-cruise Rocky Mountaineer package or a four-night tour before embarking in Vancouver. The three-night option takes guests on an eastbound journey from Vancouver to Calgary. The four-night tour goes the opposite direction. Renowned for its GoldLeaf Service, Rocky Mountaineer offers an on board dining room and a full complimentary bar service. Queen Elizabeth’s summer in Alaska offers an Insights Programme featuring Bear Grylls and other explorers. Other highlights include the Alaska Afternoon Tea, the Ice White Ball and a new dining concept called Frontier, which serves Alaska cuisine.

  Rocky Mountaineer kicks off 2022 season - News & announcements

  Luxury rail operator Rocky Mountaineer has restarted signature journeys in the US and Canada for a full operational season. It kicked off the 2022 season with luxury train journeys in the Southwest US. This year marks the first full operational season for Rocky Mountaineer’s newest route, Rockies to the Red Rocks between Denver, Colorado and Moab, Utah. It restarted on April 17, 2022. The ‘First Passage to the West’ Vancouver-Kamloops-Banff itinerary begins April 25, followed by Vancouver-Kamloops-Jasper the next day: The ‘Rainforest to Gold Rush’journey between Vancouver-Whistler-Quesnel-Jasper kicks off May 7: Rocky Mountaineer offers four train journeys that showcase some of the most spectacular scenery in North America: Since it was founded in 1990, Rocky Mountaineer has carried more than two million guests.

  Glenwood Springs plans welcome celebration for first Rocky Mountaineer arrival - News & announcements

  Colorado mountain community Glenwood Springs is set to welcome Rocky Mountaineer guests on the debut service from Denver, Colorado to Moab, Utah. The Colorado mountain town  known for its hot springs and outdoor adventures will accommodate Rocky Mountaineer guests on an overnight stay during the Rockies to the Red Rocks two-day rail journey. Glenwood Springs has been served by a railroad since 1887. To celebrate the first arrival of Rocky Mountaineer passengers in Glenwood Springs, the community has scheduled a grand welcome. There will be a festival on 7th Street, adjacent to the historic train station including a brief welcome by local dignitaries, live music, dancing, food and art vendors with additional surprises in store. Festivities begin from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, with the estimated arrival of the train and passengers at 5:00 pm. Rocky Mountaineer will launch the route with a preview season of 56 departures across 14 weeks from August 15 to November 19, 2021. Rocky Mountaineer has worked closely with staff of Visit Glenwood Springs, the city's destination marketing organization. "As a destination, we have been preparing to welcome guests of the Rockies to the Red Rocks route, and now invite the community and region to join us in the grand welcome celebration," said Director of Tourism Promotion, Lisa Langer.

  Rocky Mountaineer delays start of Canadian Season - News & announcements

  Rocky Mountaineer is delaying the start of the' Canadian travel season' until 5 July 2021, due to the continuing travel restrictions and uncertainty of when they will be lifted.

  For guests affected by the delayed start to travel in Canada, Rocky Mountaineer is offering several benefits and options, including: providing a' future' travel credit equivalent to 110% of monies paid;' holding its 2021 and 2022 rail pricing at 2020 levels; and providing a price guarantee for its vacation packages to ensure' travellers' can book' a similar' tour at the same price.

   "We are extremely disappointed to be forced to delay the start of our season, but we remain very optimistic about restarting travel in July. Our team is eagerly working to prepare our trains for operations and we all look forward to getting back to what we do best,"' said Peter Armstrong, founder and interim CEO, of Rocky Mountaineer.

  Guests can also choose to transfer their booking to the new route in the US, the Rockies to the Red Rocks, which travels between Denver, Colorado' and Moab, Utah.

  Rocky Mountaineer has added more flexibility to its bookings, which allows guests to change their departure dates, or people on the booking, up to 30 days ahead of travel, without charge or penalty.
