
Founded in 27th May, 1995, Vietnam Airlines is the flag carrier of Vietnam and the major carrier in the South East Asia, operating 94 routes to 22 domestic and 29 international destinations with an average of 400 flights per day, connecting the world’s major cities to mesmerizing travel destinations in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar.

All travellers are required to show proof of a negative PCR test result taken up to 72 hours before their flight departure to Vietnam, or a negative antigen test taken up to 24 hours before the flight. Children under 2 years old are not required to test, while separate guidelines apply for sea and land border crossings. It brings an end to quarantine restrictions. Anyone entering the country is also required to download and complete a health declaration on the Vietnam PC-Covid app before arrival into the country and monitor health during their stay in Vietnam. Vietnam also reinstated visa exemptions. UK visitors can stay in Vietnam and travel freely for up to 15 days without needing a visa on entry. Kien Tran Trong, Chairman of the Tourism Advisory Board, said: “There is so much for visitors to discover during. We know thousands of Brits can’t wait to come for a holiday. We are thrilled that we can finally welcome them to Vietnam again after two years.” Over 300,000 British travellers visited the country annually before the pandemic. -

It removes limits on the number of international flights allowed to operate. "The frequency of flights will be restored to pre-pandemic levels," said Dinh Viet Son, deputy director of the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam. Vietnam began gradually loosening restrictions earlier this year with flights allowed from 15 markets while reducing quarantine requirements. Of its main source markets, only China has not yet agreed to resume international flights, Son said. Vietnam recently announced plans to fully reopen borders Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said it would happen 'ideally at the end of March and no later than the end of April.' "With higher rates of vaccination along with other measures, we will be able to reopen the country safely, for the sake of economic recovery and development," he said last month. Vietnam already allows limited quarantine-free travel to some destinations including Phu Quoc, Da Nang, Hoi An and Nha Trang. -
